Opening a Big Success

What an exciting evening at the Bahrain Arts Society. Over 100 people showed up to the exhibition opening to view over 40 framed images and many more prints and digital projection images. Photos will be posted soon. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. The Bahraini art scene rocks!

Just learned about the Civis Media Prize. This project seeks to build good multicultural relations in Europe.

Show is coming together

Wow. The show is coming together at the Bahrain Arts Society. We barely have enough room and many excellent portraits could not be shown because of time, funding, and space limits. Maybe we need a bigger venue for another show? Any suggestions?

Context Helps

Every good photo tells a story. Sometimes just a little extra information helps deepen the experience of seeing the work. This is a happy, fun picture of a Bahrain child. When you are told that she almost died and the family was told she would never develop and that today she is completely normal, then the miracle of transformation becomes, in a small way, also yours.
